Startwin Exe Windows Ce
I added cmd.exe, AND a copy of cmd.exe renamed as autorun.exe, to the root of a USB drive. I also created the numerical autorun folders used by Windows CE based devices. The latter involved creating a folder called '2577', which indicated a platform specific folder to store autorun files.
On our CE 5.0 and 6.0 boards, the application can be launched from HKLM init (eg. Launch120='APP-NAME') or by putting a shortcut in the Startup folder specified in HKLM System Explorer Shell Folders Startup. Startwin.exe download at 2shared. Remarks
Once ActivateService has been called, Services.exe retrieves information about the service in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINEServiceslpszDevKey and loads the service as if it were being loaded upon system initialization.
For more information about setting up a service registry key for ActivateService or for use at system initialization, see Services.exe Registry Settings.
Security NoteActivateService can be called from either trusted or untrusted applications, regardless of the setting of the DEVFLAGS_TRUSTEDCALLERONLY registry flag for the service. If a trusted application activates a service, an untrusted application cannot unload the service. However, if an untrusted application activates the service, then either a trusted application or an untrusted application can unload the service.
